Depravation of Libert Safeguards DOLS
The Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) are part of the Mental Capacity Act 2005. They are designed to protect vulnerable adults who lack the mental capacity to consent to the care or treatment they need, and who may need to be cared for in a way that restricts their freedom to keep them safe.
